Elvis now.

Elvis recorded 80 new songs at RCA's Nashville studio from June 4, to June 9, 1971. A prolific work rate to say the least. The songs, depending on genre and artist/producer discretion, were spread over several releases.
These included: "That's the way it is", "Elvis Country Love Letters From Elvis", "The Wonderful World Of Christmas", He Touched Me" and "EIvis Now".
Apart from his hectic studio schedule Elvis was playing to "Sold-out" signs everywhere and averaging 150 concerts per year.
"Elvis Now" was released in January 1972 and reached #43 on the Billboard chart. It was certified gold and remained on the hot LP list for 19 weeks. In England the album reached #12. A single featuring: "Until It's time For You To Go" and "We Can Make It In The Morning" reached #40 and #5 in the U.S. and U.K. respectively.
In 1972 Elvis would continue to break new ground after his sensational comeback in 1968. On June 9, he went back to New York and performed four sold-out concerts at Madison Square Garden. He was the first artist to achieve this and in excess of 80.000 fans attended the shows.
